Training for Business People

We offer Palo for Excel "Jump Start" training for business people, in the form of 2-3 day workshops or public training sessions. Our workshops are designed to help you quickly understand the core features and functionality of Palo for Excel, with a focus on your business' specific needs. We present course material in the context of your business problem, and our workshops allow you to train using your own data and requirements to explore Palo's features and functionality. We deliver at a pace suited to your skill level, but an intermediate or greater knowledge of Excel is essential. We utilize "hands on" exercises to bolster key concepts. Upon successful completion of our workshop, you will be able to build dimensions and cubes, load data, and create ad hoc and standard reports using Palo for Excel.

Training for IT Staff

For IT staff already familiar with OLAP fundamentals, we offer advanced technical training on all aspects of the Palo Suite. This includes system architecture, installation and set-up, effective modelling techniques, web spreadsheet features such as form elements, dyna ranges, widgets, and framesets. In addition, you will receive training in Palo ETL (including transformations), data validation, extracting from XML files and web services, normalization, updating logic and error handling. We can also provide training on specialized topics including SAP connectivity using the SOAP-based web services of the ETL-API, and specific SAP ERP and BW extractions, as well as Palo Supervision Server functionality and MDX/ODBO connectivity, LDAP integration, and data drill-through.
